- These are words that it is best to know by heart, instead of spelling them out.
- They are often high frequency words as well.
- Sight words are words that don’t follow the general rules of spelling and are therefore difficult to sound out.
- If your little one memorizes these words and is able to recognize them immediately, it really helps with making reading easy, successful and fun.
