It’s that time again…just as the Christmas trees and wreaths have been packed away, out come the pink and red chocolate hearts and over-priced candy staring me down every time I go do my groceries. I don’t know about you, but the teddy bears and sugar-laden treats don’t really do it for me. What’s Valentine’s Day really about? Letting those you care about know how much they mean to you. Showing love and kindness. That’s why this year, I’m declaring Valentine’s Day a candy-free holiday, and if you’re feeling the same way, you’ll love the ideas we’ve put together. The best part? They’re kid-approved and there’s not a candy in sight!
1. Kids Valentine’s Day Classmate Card
One of my favorite non-candy Valentines Day ideas for kids are these adorable Valentine’s Classmate Cards. They feature a heart-shaped maze with a sweet and simple “you’re a-MAZE-ing” note because we love a good pun. Simply print out the card design, let your child decorate it (we’re not opposed to a little sparkle around here), then write their name at the bottom (or you can add it in when you edit the card in Corjl). Add a sweet message on the back if you’d like, then cut along the two cut lines to make holes to pop a pen or crayon through. This is just so cute and such a fun way for kids to personalize their Valentines this year!
