Glitz and Glam Gatsby Party Planning Tips
A Gatsby/Glitz and Glam theme always lends itself to a cocktail party set up more than formal seating. Cover cocktail tables in black velvet table cloths and use black feathers in gold vases as your centrepieces. You can also use mirror plates on the tables to reflect the light and add to the glamor. Add some gold and black candles for ambiance. Hanging clear balloons from the ceiling of your venue can also add a very beautiful, reflective effect.
A champagne fountain is always a fun touch with a Gatsby-themed party. Stack champagne glasses in a triangular tower and pour! In terms of the food, stick to sophisticated finger snacks like fish cakes, prawns, sushi, devilled eggs and cheese boards.
A Glitz and Glam party could go either way in terms of dress code. If you want a formal affair, you could request people dress up in cocktail attire.
