With their seemingly boundless amounts of energy (if only we could harness some of that, am I right moms?), kids love to run and jump and play. Every once in a while, they also like the opportunity to show off their athletic abilities a little. So, if you’ve got a busy-body on your hands, then an active birthday party with field-day-style activities is the party theme you’ve been searching for!
Jump For Joy, It’s Party Time!
The first active party theme we have up our sleeves for you, is a bounce house or trampoline party. We’ve designed this super cute and cheerful jump party invitation to give your bouncy guests all the info they’ll need!
The idea behind a jump party theme is to either hire a bounce house if your yard has the space for one, or to rent out a trampoline park where the kiddos can go wild and jump to their hearts content.
Put Your Skills To The Test
The other active party theme we love, is an obstacle course party. It’s a budget-friendly and healthy way to get your kids outdoors (weather-permitting) and exercising. If your yard has the space for it or if your neighbourhood has a park, you can set up a couple of fun obstacles the kids have to get through before they get a reward (such as ice creams, medals or party favors). This could be:
- hula-hooping
- sack races
- relay races with batons
- egg & spoon races
- jump rope
- agility course with cones
If the weather turns sour or you don’t have the yard space for it, your garage, basement or a local community hall could work just as well for an obstacle course party. Remember that not every child is athletic, so keep the activities simple and make sure there is a good mix of strengths in each team so nobody feels left out. The goal after all is to have a ton of fun!
We have two invitation options for this theme. First up is for the girls, a pretty in pink obstacle course party invitation with purple, aqua and yellow accents.
Next we have a red version of the obstacle course party invitation with pops of blue, orange and yellow that works well for both boys and girls.
All our invitations are fully editable, meaning you can change all text to create the perfect invitation for your child’s active birthday party. Once you’re done editing the text, download to your device and print or email them out! It’s as easy as that!
