Roll Up…Roll Up… to Summer, the holidays and the ultimate backyard carnival party! This was just an afternoon of awesomeness, to celebrate all the fun of the fair! Bright and breezy, lemonade squeezy! This party theme can be used for boys and girls, all ages, even us big guys cannot resist the striped splendor of a carnival theme!
The possibilities are endless, but we chose to go with a hot dog station, a popcorn bar (carnival corn!) a candy cart full of delectable treats and of course, the ultimate carnival cake and carnival cupcakes! Enough sugar, ya think?
The kids (and their parents) were spoilt for choice when it came to party activities. From clowning around in the photo booth with the printable props, to face painting, tattoos and hairdos, trying your hand at the emoji toss, walking on stilts and bouncing on the jumping castle or a spot of fishing, there was plenty to do!
All that activity made us thirsty, and the homemade lemonade stand and ringmaster milk bottles did not disappoint.
Enjoy the pics, and let us know if you were inspired! All the printables are available as a full carnival set, as well as separate packs/items so you can pick and choose as you please.

Whether you are going for just a few carnival touches or whether you want to go all out, here are a few tips to make your backyard carnival party look the part!
- Choose a red, white or yellow stripe pattern and grab some fabric in your chosen color. This can be used for a tablecloth and a photo booth backdrop.
- Choose a few activities and get organised with what you will need to make those happen. Signage boards work really well to keep the theme running through the event.
- Once you have decided what you will serve to eat and drink, it is really fun to think of carnival-themed names to personalise your food labels and drinks options. Your guests will be impressed with your clever play on words.
- The carnival theme is a blast of energy and entertainment. Keep everything bright and cheery and your guests will leave with full and happy hearts!
Long live the carnival!
