Cath’s little Hannah was turning seven… and Hannah LOVE bunnies, she is bunny crazy! So, we had no choice but to throw a Happy Bunny Bonanza Birthday Party for this little poppet! We knew it needed to be cute and colorful… a little bit like out Hannah’s personality! And this was just up her alley… putting a real big smile on this bunny loving girls face!
A bunny party theme is not only an adorable kids party theme but its a great option for kids of all ages for birthday parties or even for a Easter party! So naturally, as we do, we designed a whole set of bunny party printables to create the perfect set up for Hannah’s party. With that being said, here are our tips for how to make your bunny party a success and exactly how we put this cute party together.
Every good party starts off with a fabulous invitation! And Hannah’s party was no exception! She sent out these adorable bunny party invitations which feature a sweet bunny all dressed for the occasion framed by a floral wreath. We loved using fresh and bright colors to bring this theme to life.
Next, it was time to decorate the party space with bunny-themed decor.
We always love to setup a main party table to be the focal point of the party because it generally makes quite an impact and really sets the scene. To start, we hung up a personalized bunny party banner with the birthday girl’s name printed on it. This banner is totally editable so you can choose whatever you’d like. Each bright and colorful banner has delicate flowers in the bottom corners for a feminine touch.
For the rest of the setup, we used what we had and borrowed what we didn’t! We used a simple pastel pink tablecloth and used a variety of jars, cake stands and colorful bowls to hold the snacks. Speaking of snacks, there are lots of bunny-inspired treats you can have on hand.
We have these delicious cheesy maize snacks (Cheetos) here that look like carrots which we popped into piping bags and tied with ribbons…these then took the shape of carrots. We used our editable bunny party food labels to create some bunny-fied snacks which included chocolate ball “bunny poop” and marshmallow “cotton tails.” Depending on your kiddos preferences, you could include snacks like carrot cake, chocolate bunnies or crudités with dip.
For Hannah’s cupcakes we did white chocolate cake pops decorated with colorful sprinkles, adorned with our adorable bunny party cupcake toppers.
Hannah’s cake was a simple and beautiful layered cake covered in light pink frosting. To decorate, we used fresh flowers and our printable bunny party cake topper. It really was the perfect finishing touch to the cake! The cake topper is very easy to assemble. Print, cut out and stick onto paper straws or wood skewers.
Next, of course, were the party favors. We never go over the top with these as splurging on favors is a waste of money and we’re not for showing off with “swag bags.” But it’s always a sweet touch to send the little bunnies home with something special to remind them of the fun that was had. So for our bunny theme soiree, we designed these printable bunny party favor tags, especially designed to hold these adorable bunny shaped hair clips. If you are looking for the bunny clips we used in the party pictures please see the below Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3wnkatE
Alternatively if you’d prefer to do a candy favor, you can attach this sweet bunny party favor tag to the sweetie bags with some colorful string.
For the activities, there are so many cute bunny-themed things to do but we chose a bunny party coloring in activity because not only do Hannah and her little friends love a good coloring-in session, these make great take-home mementos too. Some other activity ideas include a Bunny Hop race, an Easter Egg hunt or build your own wooden block bunny houses!
Armed with our recipe for success, your guests are sure to have a hopping good time at your bunny-themed bash! Love this adorable girls party idea? Go on, add it to your Pinterest board!
