Let’s get Llama-licious everyone! Cath’s gorgeous little Hannah Banana turned 3! And we had the CUTEST Llama party. But I’m not going to reveal all yet, you’ll have to wait for next week for the whole shebang! In the meantime, to prove we have no llama drama, here is the tutorial for this gorgeous Mexican tablecloth we made for the party. It’s crafty and fun, but involves NO SEWING! So, if, like me, you’re not total besties with a sewing machine, you can whip out your handy glue gun instead. Feels good huh? Brandish it…own that glue gun!
The tablecloth is small (60cm diameter), so makes for a cute party centerpiece for a llama party or fiesta-themed party. And we edged ours with some pom pom string we found at a craft shop. Which just finished it off beautifully. The whole tablecloth is made from felt, so if you have felt off cuts and bits lying around, you can put them to great use! Or, you can go and buy in these specific colors – felt is usually really reasonable and easy to find. And after the party? The tablecloth has been put to use in its next life, as Hannah’s toy horse’s favorite blanket! 🙂 🙂 🙂
To make this beauty, you don’t need much but some felt, sharp scissors, a glue gun and glue sticks and pom pom edging. You can add white embroidery thread and needle if you would like to finish off the heart and yellow circle with some pretty stitching. All you need is this handy template, with step by step instructions.
