The holiday season is filled with travel for many families. From heading off to your favorite vacation spot to visiting family and traveling abroad, there’s a little bit of magic in the air when you set off on a holiday. Traveling with kids, however, can add a whole new dynamic! Road trips are rarely peaceful with little voices asking, “are we there yet?” every 5 minutes. Plane rides require much more prepping and planning, parents arming themselves with snacks and iPads to keep the mini jetsetters happy while spending most of the flight with a child draped across their laps.

Long distance travel can be really boring for kids. They’re stuck in a seat with very little room to move and play, so it’s no wonder they get over it pretty quickly! When the games of i-spy or the singing contests have run dry, we’ve got a secret weapon to keep the kiddos happy for the duration of your journey!

Introducing our travel-themed kids activity sheets that are ready to download, print and pack into your kids backpacks for your trip. With over 49 fun activities included in the pack and a cheerful full-color cover page, kids aged 6 to 12 will be kept entertained for hours to make the journey to your next adventure a little more peaceful!

If you wanted to you could get the pages bound into a little activity booklet or punch holes in the margin and tie them together with string. Whatever works best for your kids. Don’t forget to pack in some pens, pencils and crayons so they can get stuck into their road trip activities.

Some other tips for travelling with kids:

  • Pack healthy snacks and drinks to make their trip more pleasant and to avoid any hangry moments!
  • If you’re on a road trip, plot your journey beforehand and make provision for bathroom breaks and lunch stops along the way.
  • Keep toilet paper and wet wipes in the car in case of any spills, messes or bathroom emergencies
  • On flights, bring along a pillow and/or blanket your child is familiar with to make the experience less daunting
