4th July Layered Caramel Dessert

  • Author: Sunshine Parties

Description

The easiest dessert you will make for 4th July ever! And the best-tasting, absolutely moreish, melt-in-your-mouth dessert too! Give it a go.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packets of Tennis biscuits or similar
  • 2 bottles of Orley Whip (or similar) or 500ml whipping/ dessert cream
  • 1 tin caramel filling (12.6 oz or 360g)
  • blue and red sprinkles (and some gold or silver sprinkles too)
  • 1 bottle Whipped Cream (Spray Bottle)

Instructions

  1. Beat the Orley Whip or whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks.
  2. Mix in the caramel in a bowl to get rid of any lumps and then add it to the cream. Mix together until well combined.
  3. In a rectangular casserole dish, add a layer of the cream-caramel mixture and then add one layer of the Tennis biscuits on top.
  4. Repeat this layering until you have two layers of tennis biscuits and 3 layers of cream. (keep adding layers if you have enough cream-caramel mixture and biscuits). End off with a cream-caramel layer.
  5. Add whipped cream (from the spray bottle) to the top of the dessert and spread to create a smooth topping, covering the cream-caramel layer below.
  6. Sprinkle decorations on top. You can even sprinkle chocolate shavings on top!
  7. Place in fridge for 3-6 hours to set (this allows the biscuits to soften). Enjoy!!
